Chile - Hiking

In Chile, there is a belief that it is customary when you are hiking through the desert, you have to pour some of your drinking water on the ground before you drink any yourself to avoid bad luck. This is considered as a tribute to Pachamama, the spirit of Earth in order to have a safe journey.

Cuba - Water

In Cuba, there is a believe that if you leave a glass of water at your bedside overnight and there are bubbles in the glass the next morning, a good chance that you are surrounded by good spirits.
