Japan - Chopsticks

In Japan, avoid stucking chopsticks standing upside in food especially rice because it is the same position as how chopsticks are placed in rice bowls at funerals.

They also avoid passing food between chopsticks because it's like what they do with bones of a cremated at funerals.
