Japan - Unlucky Numbers

Number 4 is pronounced as shi in Japanese, which means "death.'' Number 9 is pronounced as ku in Japanese, which means "pain". These two numbers considered as unlucky. Hospitals usually have neither 4th nor 9th floors.
