Mexico - Fingernails
In Mexico, there is a widespread superstition regarding fingernails cutting. They say that if you cut a baby's fingernails before he/she turn one year of age, it is afraid that the child will have impaired eyesight.

How do they keep the babies from scratching themselves, most notably in the eyes?
Maybe by protecting their hands with Baby Gloves.
I'm mexican and that's not true! I don't know where they got it from...
Most of the superstitions in my blog were sourced either from my own relatives or from the internet.
Some of the superstitions are hard to believe or never heard of, maybe it's an old superstitions that once popular but now forgotten.
